Mission Statement
The Acute Care College's mission is threefold: to foster time-based decision making, to broaden the clinical correlation of physiology, anatomy and pharmacology to acute care, and to probe the ethical and psychosocial aspects of crisis management.

Foundations Block (AC01)

Full-day attendance and participation are required each day. Students will be asked to sign in at each session. All absences must be approved by the College Chair.

Transition to Internship Series
Requirements:
Students are required to attend each seminar. Any absence must be pre-approved by the College Chair and an appropriate make-up will be discussed.

Scholarly Project
Requirements: A scholarly project is required by all ACC students and is necessary to meet residency requirements. Students will present their scholarly projects by oral or poster presentation to their peers and mentors on Scholarship Day. Projects may include basic science or clinical research, educational methodology, or case reports. The best abstracts will be presented at the plenary session as oral presentations.  High quality oral or poster presentations are eligible for the “Award of Merit” at Graduation.  Recognition will be given at the senior breakfast and in the graduation program.
