Private Loans: Closing The Gap

With tuition and fees rising, you could find that your financial aid won’t cover the entire cost of your education. You may need to consider applying for a private loan, sometimes called an alternative loan.

Private educational loans are one way to provide additional funds to close the gap between your financial aid, your financial resources and school costs. But they should be used only after you exhaust all other possibilities of federal, state or school financial aid.
