The Health Care Symposiums are organized by a group called Medical Students Organized for Community Activism and Leadership (MSOCAL)

MSOCAL, an association composed of UCLA medical students, was created to provide an avenue for the discussion of the current and future status of health care and its reformation. Annual conferences are organized to inform and educate our health sciences community to become actively involved in shaping the future of health care.

Past symposium topics include: health care rationing (2004), professionalism in medicine (2003), technological and economic forces in health care (2002), information technology in the practice of medicine (2001), improving access to health care (2000, 1999, 1997).

Feel free to email us if you have general questions regarding the healthcare symposium.

Website-related questions are directed to the Director of Information Systems.
