The Health Care Symposiums are organized by a student group called Medical Students Organized for Community Activism and Leadership (MSOCAL). MSOCAL, was created to provide an avenue for the discussion of the current and future status of health care and its reformation.  Annual conferences are organized to inform and educate our healthcare and scientific communities, aiming at getting people to get involved in shaping the future of health care.

Past symposium topics include:
Stem cells: Dispelling Myths and Exploring Truths (2006)

Rising cost of prescription drugs (2005)

Health care rationing (2004)
