| Description: | The Burke Clinic is a free clinic
in Santa Monica that provides primary care to needy patients. Although it is
associated with the Venice Family Clinic, it is run by UCLA residents and attendings, and
there are Doctoring 1, 2, and 3 students who are taught there as well.
|
| Volunteer Opportunities: | As this
clinic is an important teaching facility, volunteers will get fantastic clinical training
while helping underserved populations. Attending the orientation is mandatory, and
afterwards volunteers are signed up for one afternoon visit depending on the clinic
schedule and number of participants.
|
| Sign-Up Info: | We will be holding an orientation at the Burke Free Clinic sometime in the first two weeks of April which will be mandatory if you wish to volunteer there in the coming months. Please attend our meeting on March 29 to find more details or email mgmoore@ucla.edu if you will not be able to attend. |
