| Description: | Sojourn Services for Battered Women
and Their Children is a organization which provides numerous services for abused families.
These include an outreach program for women and children in abusive relationships,
a 24-hour hotline, and crisis support immediately following a domestic assault.
|
| Volunteer Opportunities: | Volunteers must go through a
training before participating. The training itself is excellent
education and will teach you how to identify and deal with abused patients.
Volunteering will be very flexible and can be suited to your own schedule.
For more information about what working at this shelter is like, please contact
Marvi Iqbal at marvi@ucla.edu
