in each category.

The primary elements to look for in a "PDA Drug Companion" are: drug name lookup,
class lookup, dosages, costs, drug interactions, drug mechanisms, and program
updateability at time of routine synchronization. ePocrates contains all of these
elements and is free.

Rx FREE
Peer-reviewed drug information including off-label indications and formularies
in an easy to use format. Includes over 2800 drug monographs and the ability
to check up to 30 different drugs for potential interacations. Also allows user
to look up adult/peds dosing, contraindications/cautions, drug interactions,
adverse reactions, Mfr/cost information and other information (i.e. pregnancy,
lactation and mechanism of action). Drug database is updated daily. Memory requirement:
3.0 MB (3,000K) minimum + 10K per formulary selected. OS requirement: Palm® OS
v3.1 or higher.

that allows you to set a password on the PDA that activates at any interval that
you set (e.g., every 24-hours, to every 4-hours).
